How to prepare

​

• Abstain from sex for 3–5 days (neither too short nor too long)

• Avoid exposure to sources of intense heat (saunas, hot baths) in the days leading up to the test

​​

• Do not consume alcohol in the 48 hours prior to the test

​​

• Discontinue any medication after consulting your doctor

​​

• Get plenty of rest the night before

​​

How to collect the sample

​

• Wash your hands and genitals thoroughly

​​

• The sample must be collected via masturbation

​​

• Use only the sterile container provided by the laboratory

​​

• Collect all the ejaculate without losing any of it

​​

• Do not use condoms or lubricants

​​

• Note down the exact time of collection

​​

• Deliver the sample within 30–60 minutes, keeping it at body temperature

​

Useful information

The sample can be collected at the laboratory (preferable) or at home. If collecting at home, carry the container close to your body to maintain the temperature. If you have difficulty collecting the entire sample, please inform the staff.

Samples are collected from Monday to Thursday.
